2024 was full of so many good, rich moments. We had a long maple season, good hay weather and a quality blueberry season. We brought the kids to Boston in April, to Maine in the summer and to Jay Peak for Christmas. We ventured up north to our camp a few times and enjoyed some quality family time. We also experienced our scariest parenting moment to date when Natalie had a kidney infection and was in the pediatric wing of the hospital for 4 days. I think back to those long days and feel so grateful now for our healthy girl. It has shown me that we really can’t take our days for granted. We also lost our sweet kitty, Mae-Mae in October. She lived a great kitty life on the farm, full of hay field romps, mouse chasing and snuggling on Jason’s lap in the evenings. We miss her very much but remember her fondly.
Our kids continue to grow at lightning speed. Liam fell head over heals for baseball this year. Specifically the Red Sox. I took him to his first game at Fenway in July and it was a true highlight for both of us. He also became a really good defense soccer player this fall and made team captain, which thrilled him. Natalie also played soccer this year and loved it! She also became quite the ice skater, so we signed her up for lessons this fall, which she adored.
Jason and i continue to find the most joy here at home on our farm. Watching the seasons change, the kids grow and the years fly by, makes me realize how quick these days will pass. Heres to another year of health & happiness.
